And We're Back!

A lot of things have changed in my life and I gave up my blog for awhile, so I am sorry for that.
Since my last post, I have moved to a new city with my boyfriend of 4 years. My grandmother passed away shortly after my last post, so that was hard. I also chose to cleanse my diet of junk food and have lost 25 pounds in 3 months.
Not too shabby! ; ) And now I've decided to take up my blog again!

This outfit is really different for me. It is so girly, which I am not. I found the blouse at a vintage store in the city. I find everytime I thrift, I am looking for something specific. Obviously, it's not an ideal way to shop vintage, but I find the sheer volume of clothes overwhelming, so this helps to bring order to the chaos for me. So this time I was looking for blouses with interesting collars. This one had nice height and beautiful pink pearl buttons. But it was the sleeves that I feel in love with. Ruffled at the shoulder with volume through the middle. I thought the shoes were a perfect match, and the rest just fell into place.

My grandmother is sick and I'm obsessed with this song. I don't know if those two are related, but I've been thinking about both things a lot.

Flowers & Buttlerflies

Having dinner with friends tonight. Going to wear what's become my favourite outfit lately. It's just so summery and cute, plus comfy. The weather is so nice lately, how could I resist wearing my fav summer dress. On my way, going to check out the new Zara/Aritzia open in Burlington. I've been really good this last pay check, I should treat myself. ......does that make sense?

Spandex Shorts

Thrifted romper worn as shorts, H&M striped tee, Vintage belt, Urban Outfitters blazer

I am aware these cotton/spandex shorts have a slight camel-toe thing happening in these photos. Kind of also have a hunchback vibe.... It was chilly & late and I am lazy. In real life this outfit is much more flattering.

Update

- Taking sewing lessons, but haven't made anything interesting yet except altering a pair of highwaisted/slightly momish-jeans shorts. Pics to come for judging.

- Started listening to R&B for some insane reason. Still obsessed with Washed Out though.

- Car is dieing. *sigh* It is a '93 though, sooooo......

- Easter was full of food.

- Getting crazy behind on my laundry. Might be because I always just buy new things before I need to wash old things. Hm....

- I think my dog is depressed. Here is a pic of her puppy eyes, macro style.

Big puppy nose!

Sneaking a peak into the neighbours....

Thrifted denim jacket, DLR babydoll dress, Aldo OTK boots, H&M tights

Saving money is so hard this time of year, (or anytime of year really lol.) But lately there are so many things on my wish list. A ton of them I can probably thrift, but you really have to have the time and patience. Which for the most part I can't be bothered unless I'm in the mood, or low on the cash flow. Besides, I usually leave thrift stores with a bunch of stuff that wasn't on my list. Oh well, add it all to my hoard of clothing.

H&M Shirt, DIY Jean skirt, OTK boots, Thrifted Beanie, Assorted rings & bracelets

Bleh. Life is hectic lately, with work and birthdays. Ended up wearing something completely different on VDay. I've bought a few more items since my last post. I'm away from my cam for the week, but I will post some pics of them soon. This one is a couple weeks old. The shirt was such a great H&M find. You can do a lot with it. And I love that it's super long in the back. Anyways, night for now!

Date Night

DLR babydoll dress, Wilfred pencil skirt, OTK socks, vintage red velvet purse, B initial necklace, oversized Victorian ring

I guess I'm a planner. Pretty sure this is going to be my VDay outfit. What do you think? You can't really see but there's some clev in there as well. And I'll probably pair it with some black heels and a red lip.

Kind of early still to be planning, I know, but I tend to figure out my outfits ahead of time when I'm excited about something. I always know my birthday outfit like two weeks in advance, haha! No actual plans yet though. We usually figure that stuff out last minute, which doesn't really work in our favour during these silly holidays. We will prob end up eating dinner in the city at our fav restaurant. I've got some good ideas for the bf's gift though. What do you have planned???
